The Advent season is here and with it the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful Christmas markets in NRW! Whether it's the world's largest Christmas tree in Dortmund or the festively illuminated markets in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Mülheim, Essen and Bochum - each of these cities offers something special in the run-up to Christmas.
By train to the Christmas market
So that you can reach all these markets comfortably and stress-free, there are additional train connections on the Advent Saturdays. Train Rental GmbH (TRI) is offering additional journeys on 30 November, 7 December, 14 December and 21 December on the regional express lines RE 1 (RRX) and RE 6 (RRX) between Cologne and Dortmund main station.
