Are you already a Ticket2000 season ticket customer and interested in the DeutschlandTicket?

Ticket2000 season ticket customers do not need to take any further action at present. The transport companies and sales service providers from the VRR will inform you shortly about what will happen with your season ticket and how you can switch to the DeutschlandTicket subscription if you are interested.

The DeutschlandTicket is a new fare offer. Alternatively, you can continue with your existing season ticket. You can find more information about the DeutschlandTicket on our website.

More than a ticket

The Ticket2000 is your all-round carefree package for bus and rail. In addition to unlimited use of public transport, you also benefit from a range of attractive additional benefits. These include, for example, the transport of a bicycle or additional passengers.

The Ticket2000 subscription is available as a personal or transferable ticket.

The advantages of the Ticket2000 at a glance:

  • Area of application freely selectable

  • On weekdays from 7 p.m. and all day on weekends and public holidays, up to 5 people can travel throughout the VRR. Of these, a maximum of 2 persons, including the holder, may be over 14 years of age.

  • Take your bike with you free of charge within the area of validity of your Ticket2000. This saves you 3.70 euros.

  • If you are delayed by 20 minutes or more, you are entitled to a mobility guarantee of 60 euros.

How much is it?

The Ticket2000 is available as a monthly pass or as a low-cost subscription, alternatively with validity from 9 am as an even cheaper option. Choose the option that suits your needs best. Your Ticket2000 subscription can be terminated at any time. The monthly pass and the Ticket2000 as an online 30-day ticket with flexible start date have the same price.

Ticket variants

Aboticket

A subscription gives you Ticket2000 for a lower price. You always have the ticket to hand and can cancel it at any time.

30-TageTicket

With the 30-day ticket, you decide when your ticket starts. It is not tied to a fixed calendar month, but is valid for exactly 30 calendar days from the start date, including the start and end date. The purchase date is the earliest possible start day. It is only available as a personal ticket and offers the same additional services and costs the same as the Ticket2000. As a 30-day ticket, it has the same price as the Ticket2000 9 o'clock as a monthly ticket in the respective price levels. You can obtain the 30-day ticket in the VRR app and the apps of the transport companies.

Monatskarte

You can obtain your monthly ticket each month from the sales office of your transport company. Please refer to this document (59 KB - pdf) for the validity of the monthly tickets.

Even more service with the ZusatzTicket

You have the option of extending the service of your Ticket2000 with an additional ticket. For example, if you have a Ticket2000 in price level A-C and would like to make a journey before 7 pm during the week that is in price level D, you can buy an ZusatzTicket. This automatically extends the area of validity of your Ticket2000 to the entire VRR area.

An ZusatzTicket also allows you to use first class on regional rail services in the VRR.

Please note that you need one ZusatzTicket per person and additional use per journey.

An example

You have a Ticket2000 at price level A3 for Dortmund and would like to travel first class from Dortmund to Düsseldorf on Monday morning. Then you need two additional tickets for the outward journey. One for the extension of the area of validity and one for first class use. You will also need to buy two additional tickets for the return journey in the afternoon.

Cancellable at any time

You can cancel your Ticket2000 subscription at any time to the end of the month. There is no cancellation fee. The subscription period is extended by a further month if the transport company does not receive a cancellation by the last day of the current month.

When travelling with your Abo-Ticket, a decisive feature is your price level. The price level defines the area of validity of your ticket within the VRR area and is divided into price levels A (A1, A2, A3), B, C and D.

Price level A is generally valid for journeys within a city, whereby the size of the city and the services on offer determine whether you require price level A1, A2 or A3.

In price level B, you select a central fare zone from which you can then also travel to at least the directly neighbouring fare zones. Please note that the central fare zone does not have to be the fare zone in which you live.

With price level C, you cover the medium travel distances. You can choose between 19 different regions in the network area.

With tickets in price level D, you can travel throughout the entire network area.

Journeys beyond the network

If you like to make trips to the neighbouring networks (AVV, VRS, WT), you can extend your VRR season ticket by purchasing a EinfachWeiterTicket NRW to travel to the neighbouring networks.
